I have been coming to Indonesia every year for the past five years. I love this country and quite keen to pick up the language. In the past I have picked up books for self study but somehow the progress was stunted before it fizzled out completely. By chance this time in February 2020 I had an extra week in Jogja and decided to enrol myself in a one on one course at Puri Bahasa. That was indeed a very good decision because at the end of the six day (36 hours) basic communication course I was already striking up small conversations in the cafes and warungs...

... I really enjoyed the classes, the conversations with the teachers and I really, really learned a lot. The classes are enjoyable since we laughed a lot.

Thankfully I could improve my Bahasa Indonesia a lot. Because I decided to get a certificate at the end, I was also undertaking tests during the school period and a big test at the end. The certificate is officially approved by the Indonesian government.

Terima kasih banyak, Ibu Ningsih and all of the teachers for teaching me Bahasa Indonesia. It was a real pleasure!

I studied here for only 2 weeks, and after that I was able to communicate in Bahasa Indonesia about most common topics without difficulty. While I am nowhere near fluent, I already feel confident speaking in Indonesian and have been able to do many things in only Indonesian (purchasing a phone, train ticket, asking for directions/advice, and just general conversation).

I took 3 weeks of Indonesian classes, 20h/week, at Puri Bahasa. Over those 3 weeks, I met 3 different teachers and they were all excellents. As a language teacher myself, I always have high expectations when I register to private language lessons ans I was not disappointed with this school. Teachers adjust their classes to suit your needs and make sure that you talk a lot. Highly recommanded!

After studying Indonesian in Australia for a couple of year Puri Bahasa was recommended to me by friends and I have just returned from a six day course there. I will certainly be back. Bu Ningsih and the other teachers are fun, obviously well trained and adapt to the learner's particular needs and focus in a structured effective way.Those six days did a lot for my Indonesian.

Ibu Ningshi is one of the pioneers of Bahasa classes in Indonesia, and has developed course materials based on European and US language teaching concepts. Her teaching approach is practical and effective. I have greatly enjoyed the week-long intensive course with her and Karin, and I have learned a great deal. Definitely recommend their courses.

I have been learning Bahasa Indonesian as an adult for a number of years and have found that Puri Bahasa is a great school. Bu Ningsih is a really inspiring educator. The teachers understand how adults are motivated and teach really useful language. For me a week spent at the school is equivalent to 6 months classes back in Australia....and it is fun! Very professional.

My wife and I have recently moved to Jakarta, and heard great things about Puri Bahasa Indonesia. We spent 5 days at the school and by the end of our week we were able to recognize many useful words, and put sentences together. We had two teachers Ibu Ningsih and Ibu Lanny. Both teachers were extremely knowledgable in terms of understanding our abilities and tailoring the lessons to our speed and capabilities.

The classes were fun and the teachers were very patient and kind. We will definitely return to take another week of classes in the future and highly recommend this school.

I attended Puri Bahasa in November 2017. The experience was great and I learned a great deal. Training materials were excellent and lessons well prepared. Bu Ningsih and Mbak Winda are friendly, patient and professional teachers. All the staff at the school are lovely. I recommend Puri Bahasa highly.

I was a student at Puri Bahasa for 6 months with 2 hours per day from monday to friday. I had a particular goal while registering in Puri Bahasa. Actually I am doing a thesis on Indonesia, and I needed to improve my indonesian. Let's say that the classes were really good with Mbak Rizka. She quickly get what were my wills and expectations, and she totally adapted her class to me. During the first months, we worked on the grammar ...

... We worked on particular videos about a theme that I wanted or interested in, and Mbak Rizka always wrote down the script of the video for me. She was really attentive to my expectations and the goals I set to me. Thanks to her, I reached a B2 level in indonesian. Ibu Sri, the director, is a lovely woman that cares a lot about her students. Everybody there was nice. The atmosphere of the school is really nice, because it is not strict but you feel that you are here to learn. I highly recommend that school if it happens that you want to learn indonesian while in Indonesia!!
